What we do

PRODUCTIONS & REMIXES
Motivo was first born as a production company in 1998 bringing a number of quality productions and remixes to the dance music scene. Level 42, Vengaboys, Kool & the Gang, Malik from Outhere Brothers, Simply Red, Triple X, Wisdome, Snap!, Love Connection, Timbaland feat. Missy Elliott, Paul Johnson, Wisdome, ATC, Plaything are some of the projects and collaborations of the early production company which rapidly lead the original founding duo Ricky Romanini and Luca Moretti to be acknowledged as one of the most respected teams of the “Made In Italy” dance music scene.
RECORD LABEL
Over the years Motivo has managed to secure various successful records for both worldwide and local release spanning between dance/house hits from Michael Gray, Milky (“Just The Way You Are” #8 UK Top 75 Singles/#1 UK Top 75 Dance/#3 UK Airplay /#1 USA Billboard Dance Airplay), David Guetta vs The Egg, Priors, De Nuit, Tom Novy, Spankox, Freemasons, Danzel, LMC Vs U2, Gianluca Motta, Pain & Rossini (to name a few) to the very different styles delivered by Panjabi Mc, Fatman Scoop, Coolio, Urthboy, Io Carlo (“L’ego” #2 iTunes Italia/#6 Singoli FIMI — “Danziamo” #1 iTunes/#3 Singoli FIMI), Kmc, Snap! vs Motivo, Speedy feat. Lumidee, Allegro feat. LV, The Similou… and finally landing on the apparently distant territories of trance with the likes of Plummet, Tiësto, Antillas feat. Clannad, Magnolia, Snap vs Plaything etc.

The former company “Motivo Productions s.r.l.” is member of GEMA and administered by Universal Music Publishing Germany whilst the latest setup “Motivo s.r.l.” is member of SIAE and administered by Universal Ricordi Music Publishing.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
Since 2011 and the birth of the children labels HBC Remastered, Kizz, Timeless, Performa, Late Night Vodka and Controversial Motivo successfully exploits a large music catalogue in a variety of compilation albums distributed worldwide.
